SLU-PP-332 is an experimental small-molecule agonist of the estrogen-related receptors (ERRs). It is not an approved drug and has been studied so far almost entirely in mice.1

How it works
The estrogen-related receptors (ERRα, ERRβ, ERRγ) are transcription factors that help regulate mitochondrial function and energy metabolism — pathways that are also activated by endurance exercise. SLU-PP-332 is designed to activate these receptors, with the idea of triggering some of the metabolic adaptations associated with exercise without the exercise itself.1,2 This is the basis for the “exercise mimetic” description.
What the evidence shows
Animal studies
In mouse studies, SLU-PP-332 has been reported to increase running endurance and to shift energy metabolism in directions consistent with improved oxidative capacity.2 These are genuinely interesting early findings, but they are confined to animal models.
Human studies
There are no published human clinical trials of SLU-PP-332.2 Any claim about benefits, dosing or safety in people is therefore unsupported by human evidence. This is the single most important point: it is a very early-stage research chemical.
